Dr. Brett Berner
Lutz Chiropractor – Upper Cervical Chiropractic
Dr. Brett Berner has a passion for helping people grow and has spent his entire life impacting people’s lives in a positive way. As a student in a medical program at Palm Harbor University High School, this paved the way for his pursuit to help care for people. He was introduced to chiropractic while working on his Bachelor’s Degree at Florida State University. After shadowing local chiropractors, he learned about Foundational Correction using Upper Cervical Chiropractic and witnessed the results of one of the leading offices in the country.
What got him to pursue this Foundational path further was when he visited home during winter break from college and noticed his dad was using a cane to walk because he was experiencing overwhelming pain in his low back. Dr. Berner’s dad served in the military and has dealt with this issue for quite some time, but this was worse. It broke his heart to see him in that condition, so he referred him immediately to the Foundational Chiropractor he had shadowed a few months prior. The doctor analyzed the radiographs and confirmed that his dad had a Foundational Shift, which caused his secondary complaint of low back pain. After his foundation was corrected, his dad stood up, walked out, left his cane behind, and has never used it to this day. His health and life were changed for good, and Dr. Berner never looked back after finding his purpose as a Foundational Chiropractor.
After receiving his Doctorate from the prestigious Palmer College of Chiropractic, he was ready to start getting people healthier. In his clinical experience, he has cared for patients of all ages, from newborns to the elderly. He is a massive supporter of ketosis and intermittent fasting and has presented these topics to the public numerous times.
Dr. Berner is excited to meet the community and impact friends and family’s health and lives through this unique form of chiropractic care called Foundational Correction.

I was born and raised in southern Brazil, in a family full of doctors and artists. That combination made me passionate about helping people and learning how to understand them more deeply.
That passion led me to Martial Arts through an ancient knowledge called Pa-Kua. I started my training while in college (bachelor’s in liberal arts, of course) around 2000. In the Pa-Kua School, I learned self-defense, Tai Chi, Chinese yoga, Sword, and other weapons, some Traditional Chinese Medicine (acupuncture, massage, healing by energy, and more). But most importantly, I learned about myself, the light, and the dark in me, which made me more compassionate for other people’s limitations, as well.
After receiving my First-Degree Black Belt, I’ve moved to Rio de Janeiro and started sharing this knowledge with a group of people. Soon, I met my husband—also a Pa-Kua Black Belt but from New York. We ran our dojo for a decade facing many challenges. We had a beautiful and smart boy together during this time.
Becoming a mother is a powerful thing. It made me stronger and much more capable of loving. When our little warrior was 5 years old, we decided he deserved more, and we moved to Miami. New life, new challenges as an immigrant, I had to learn the language fast (I also speak Spanish and Portuguese). But I love to learn and grow, so this wasn’t a problem.
When 2020 smacked us on our face, we knew it was time for a change of lifestyle. That’s when we moved to Land O’Lakes, this wonderful place surrounded by nature and good people. That was the best decision we’ve ever made. In less than a month, I was blessed to find Dr. Berner, another passionate person interested in helping people.
Now, I’m back on track to learning, growing, building a carrier, and fulfilling my purpose in life! Thank you for being part of it!
